The philosophies of rejection or opting out of central control or hierarchical authorities such as mainstream economics, religion, mass media and governments, particularly certain laws for leadership, standards, etiquette and guidance. An emphasis on alternative collaborative, collective and cooperative endeavors is made instead.
The Internet is often described as anti-authoritarian, amongst other reasons, because of its natural tendancy to defeat censorship and make regulation obsolete, anarchist style. This Wiki, has a very cooperative approach, with no one exerting control or authority over any other member and no member having any more authority than any casual visitor.
