The Socialist Youth League was founded in the mid-1940's as the youth affiliate of the Workers Party. It had several dozen members in various cities and campuses across the US, and was involved in publishing radical magazines such as Anvil and Student Partisan. In 1954, the Socialist Youth League merged with the Young People's Socialist League to form the Young Socialist League.
