Eddie Martin is a Melbourne based director known for his two documentary work including Jisoe(2005) and Lionel(2008). [1]

Jisoe[edit]

A 2005 film chronicling the life of Justin Hughes, a Melbourne based graffiti writer more commonly known as "Jisoe" (his graffiti tag). [2]

The film did not receive a wide cinematic release but has gained a passionate cult following amongst graffiti writers and cinema fans. Critic and filmaker Megan Spencer hailing Jisoe as one of her all time favorite documentaries. [3]

Lionel[edit]

A 2008 documentary about former Australian boxer Lionel Rose. Originally commissioned as a 52 minute television doco for SBS television, the 82 minute cut was premiered at Melbourne International Film Festival on August 2nd. The film is now available on DVD via Siren Visual.

[4]

Future Work[edit]

Martin is reportedly working on a number of feature films. The title of his 2010 short The Prelude, suggests it may evolve into a feature length film at some point.
