Eddie Martin is a Melbourne based director known for his two documentary work including Jisoe(2005) and Lionel(2008). [1]

Jisoe

A 2005 film chronicling the life of Justin Hughes, a Melbourne based graffiti writer more commonly known as "Jisoe" (his graffiti tag). [2]

The film did not receive a wide cinematic release but has gained a passionate cult following amongst graffiti writers and cinema fans. Critic and filmaker Megan Spencer hailing Jisoe as one of her all time favorite documentaries. [3]

Lionel

A 2008 documentary about former Australian boxer Lionel Rose. Originally commissioned as a 52 minute television doco for SBS television, the 82 minute cut was premiered at Melbourne International Film Festival on August 2nd. The film is now available on DVD via Siren Visual.

Future Work

Martin is reportedly working on a number of feature films. The title of his 2010 short The Prelude, suggests it may evolve into a feature length film at some point.
