Assan Abdullah Khan (born 24 October 1984) was found not guilty of all charges in connection to the alleged 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot[1] in the United Kingdom, and one of the nineteen whose accounts were frozen by the Bank of England.[2]

He was arrested without charge, held without charge, and released without apology.

He recently set up a company Epic Contributions with Umair Hussain, another person cleared of all charges in the same group of cases.

Timeline

10 August 2006 Suspect arrested by British authorities.

11 August 2006 Assets are frozen by the Bank of England and name published.

7 September 2006 Released without Charge.

Guilt by association

In more guilt by association (WP) news, a religious group, and the charges against it, and the suspects and the charges against them, were all conflated with each other in news reports of the group being banned as terrorist-related and attempting to rent property near the neighbourhood the suspects lived in.[3]
