Help with Quebec[edit]
Hi, I'm samarre from the french anarchopedia. I think I had made some article about the student movement in Quebec that I can translate in english, or if you have any request of information, I'll sure help. - Samarre

- No, I'm not certain about the origin of this article (the discussion on it seems long). Quebec is actually a province in Canada. It has the biggest radical student organizing movement in the Country with the Association pour une Solidarité Syndicale Étudiante that has for union philosophy the "Combat Union" (Syndicalisme de combat). There's also been an organized anarchist student groups network but, it's now dead.
- I just created the article on the ASSÉ with an English title and linked it back to the equivalent article on the French anarchopedia. It's not complete, and I wrote a bit of it myself while lifting the French text and milling it through Google Translate for the majority; Google Translate, surprisingly, does a bit better with French-to-English than previously. - No, it wasn't the point too. I saw that you had interrests in the student movement and I thought I could maybe help you if you did want any information about the movement in Quebec (that is a particularly active movement in north america)

I'm just uncertain as to what articles on the student movement should be added to the English wiki from the French one. - Is there a "structure of knowledge" about the student movement? Actually there's a page on an anarcho-communist student newspaper "La Marmite", counter-recruitement campaign in Quebec against military recruitement in schools (even in primary school), but I sure could write about the organized network of anarchist student collectives, the history of the student movement in Quebec, ...
- I'm not sure that I'm aware of a "structure of knowledge" on student syndicalism in Quebec or the anarchist/anarcho-syndicalist relationship with it. Plus, the articles on Wikipedia place the "Syndicalism" category a bit far from the Unions category, even though Labor/trade Unions are often seen as the embodiment of Syndicalism. So whether student syndicalism is the same as the "student movement" is a bit hard to give a definitive answer towards. I'd say that writing a basic article on the general "history of the student movement in Quebec" would be a good start.
