Timothy Justin "Tim" Deegan (born 1982) is the newest MuchMusic VJ. He won the job on April 10, 2006 over nine other VJ hopefuls on VJ Search, a reality show created to find the next MuchMusic VJ. Before the show, he was a student at Conestoga College and a rock drummer. He is a resident of Kitchener, Ontario.

Tim Deegan was first discovered by MuchMusic when he went up on stage for an audition at a mall to try out for the show. His humble, down to earth personality, combined with his innocent charm and boyish good looks wooed the audience and those judging the auditions. It was also in that mall that he did the "skin to win" (removing his shirt to show off his body) which some have claimed as what won him a spot on the show.

Deegan was selected to come to Toronto to try out on the show. After he got by the first 20 finalists into the top 10, he quickly became one of the most liked people on the show. He did very little to create conflict in the show and was often seen as the peacemaker.

Tim was voted off in the 8th episode of the 10 (plus 1 finale) episode series. He was acompanied by Casey-Jo Loos (who had also been kicked off that night in a surprise twist) to the "loser loft", where Tim and the others learned that they had a chance to be voted back onto the show by the viewers. All 6 of the "loser loft" contestants (except Larissa Tobacco) came back during episode 9 to surprise the final three contestants. The next week the show was aired live from the Chum City Building in Toronto, where it was announced that Tim Deegan was the "wildcard" contestant.

On April 10, 2006, the show ran its final episode live where it was announced that the winner of the 2006 MuchMusic VJ Search was Tim Deegan. Tim was offered a 3-month renewable contract with MuchMusic.

Some of his fans said he quite resembles John Stamos at a young age. One of his well known traits is his Freddie Mercury-overbite.
