Leon Frank Czolgosz (1873 - 29 October, 1901) propagandist of the deed, was the killer of the imperialist President of the United States William McKinley.

Czolgosz shot McKinley with a Iver-Johnson revolver hidden in a bandage wrapped around his hand on 6 September, 1901. Czolgosz in turn was executed by electric chair by the state.

He was proclaimed an anarchist hero by some, although some anarchist groups at the time disagreed with Czolgosz's action, even if they sympathized with the motivation.

Leon Czolgosz's last words were "I killed the President because he was the enemy of the good people—the good working people. I am not sorry for my crime."
