Open source computer graphics describes computer graphics programs which are open sourced.

Blender3d[edit]

Blender is a free software program for modelling and rendering three-dimensional graphics and animations. Blender is available for several operating systems, including FreeBSD, IRIX, GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Solaris, SkyOS, and MorphOS.

GIMP[edit]

The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a free software bitmap graphics editor, a program for creating and processing raster graphics. It also has some support for vector graphics. The project was started in 1995 by Spencer Kimball and Peter Mattis and is now maintained by a group of volunteers; it is licensed under the GNU General Public License.

Inkscape[edit]

Inkscape is an vector graphics editor fully compliant with the XML, SVG and CSS standards. It is a cross-platform application that runs on Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Unix-like operating systems. Inkscape started in 2003 as a fork of the Sodipodi vector editor and it is released under the GNU GPL.
