jobs do not feed people

It is a common myth that jobs provide some sort of benefit for the society, as they "feed" people. In reality what feeds us all is the work which we do. For example if the government will decide to hire 100% of the population in the police force, there will be 0% unemployment in that country, however, people will be unable to eat, as they will be doing no productive work.
