Details[edit]
At best, integral transhumanism would describe a rejection of the current transhumanist concern with materialism and material improvement of biological wants in favor of a greater emphasis upon satisfying the needs of the body (hunger, shelter), the mind (traditions), intelligence (reforms), and the soul (common aspirations of a people that shape their unique culture) through social and political policies in the information sector.
Ideally, a textbook integral transhumanist approach would address such issues such as death, disease, disability and suffering of other types, compared to the focus of transhumanism upon moving away from such concerns by overcoming them through science and technology.
Potential[edit]
Integral humanism is already a basic sociopolitical policy of the Bharatiya Janata Party of India (a leading and controversial Hindutva advocacy organization), and it has influenced the Christian democracy movement that sprung up to prominence in 20th century Europe; This policy has been long favorable to those who possess a religiopolitical mandate but wish to maintain a degree or semblance of Western-style religious pluralism (or at least not rock the boat with other competing religions or ideologies).
Thus, it can be assumed that integral transhumanism would also be favorable to those who possess religious backgrounds and do not want to rock the boat but are also technologically literate.
