Masculinism (not masculism) is a set of social philosophies that focus on the rights and experiences of men. Masculinism is sometimes confused with patriarchy while its main goal is to compliment male feminism and to provide a way to show inequalities present in todayʼs system.

Campaigns of masculinists often include:

  1. draft resistance (as in majority of the countries males are drafted, while females are not)
  2. breaking the taboo around male adult virginity
  3. acceptance of sensitivity of males (as in many cultures it is assumed that “men donʼt cry”)
  4. more equally sharing parental responsibility with a childs other parent, for instance by fronting paternal leave
