Arguments[edit]

  1. Prions are proteins which encourage the mutation of other proteins, leading to cellular damage to body tissues
  2. Viruses can mutate and jump species (e.g. Avian Flu)
  3. Transmissable encephalopathies such spongyform encephalitis are a risk from the consumption of animal foods, especially their brain and spinal tissue
