Decossackization

The WP article Wikipedia:Cossackization, and all the sources it sees fit to print, ignore the fact that Cossacks were not so much an ethnic group as they were a social political and economic CLASS. See Wikipedia:Social estates in the Russian Empire

Now this makes the systematic eradication of Cossacks a concerted effort to get rid of the ruling class. Now that, compared to genocide, may be akin to driving a car fast down the street and saying, I only wanted to drive fast, when you run over and kill someone. But when you do that, it is manslaughter. Not murder
