Christopher Logue (born 1926 November 23 in Portsmouth, Hampshire) was an English poet, one of the leaders in the movement to bring poetry closer to popular experience. His own pungent, political verse is strongly influenced by the work of Bertolt Brecht and the English ballad tradition. His first book of poetry, The Weakdream Sonnets was published in 1955.
