Events[edit]

June[edit]

September[edit]

  • September 24 - Kentucky becomes the fifth state to hold that laws criminalizing same-sex sodomy are unconstitutional when the Kentucky Supreme Court issues its holding in Kentucky v. Wasson. The decision, based on the rights of privacy and equal protection under the Kentucky Constitution, explicitly and boldly yet accurately predicts that other jurisdictions and the nation as a whole will eventually reach the same conclusion.
