The Independent Socialist Clubs were clubs formed across the United States on the model of the Independent Socialist Club of Berkeley, which had been founded in 1964. The first club formed outside of Berkeley was in New York City.

The Independent Socialist Clubs (ISC) began having relations with the British group International Socialists. In 1969, the ISC reorganized itself as the International Socialists.
