Independent Socialist Club

The Independent Socialist Club was founded in Berkeley, California. Some members of the club had were former members of the Independent Socialist League, a group that had merged with the Socialist Party. The club was involved with the Free Speech Movement on the campus. After the Berkeley club was created, another club was formed in New York City, and soon the clubs formed the national Independent Socialist Clubs.
