- ↑ Belarus applied for CoE membership in 1993 and held a special guest status at CoE between 1992-1997, when its application was frozen and the special guest status revoked over elections classified as undemocratic by the CoE.
- ↑ Cuba membership in the OAS was suspended 1962-2009, but it has not ratified the OAS treaties signed during this time, which is a requirement for re-gaining membership.
- ↑ Morocco left the AU's predecessor (the OAU) in 1984, when OAU admitted the Sahrawi Republic
Of the states with limited recognition (located in Wikipedia:Europe, Wikipedia:Asia and Wikipedia:Africa) only the Sahrawi Republic is member of its respective continental organization, the Wikipedia:African Union.
