Gail Sheridan (née Healey) (born 4 January 1964) is currently an activist in Wikipedia:Solidarity (Scotland), after being an activist in the Wikipedia:Scottish Socialist Party from 1999 to 2006. She is married to Solidarity convenor Wikipedia:Tommy Sheridan; they were at school together. In 2003 she stood as a local councillor for Glasgow Cardonald. She worked as a Wikipedia:flight attendant and married Wikipedia:Tommy Sheridan, SSP convenor at the time, in 2000. They have one child, Gabrielle (born 2005).

She was heavily involved in the 2006 court case Wikipedia:Sheridan v News International in which her husband sued the Wikipedia:News of the World for defamation over allegations that he had committed adultery and attended a swingers' club in Wikipedia:Manchester. During the case when asked by her husband if she would have given evidence had she believed the stories against him, she replied: "There is no way I would be here. Neither would you [Tommy Sheridan]. You would be in the Clyde with a piece of concrete tied round you and I would be in court for your murder."

In February 2008 she was charged with Wikipedia:perjury in relation to the case, along with several others, including her father Angus Healey. In the same month, she was suspended from her job as a Wikipedia:flight attendant with Wikipedia:British Airways over the alleged theft of miniature bottles of alcohol. Later in the year she was cleared of the allegations of theft and re-instated to her job with BA. In 2010 she took voluntary redundancy from her job with BA.

The trial of her and her husband for perjury began on 4 October 2010, she was represented by Wikipedia:Paul McBride. The prosecution deleted a number of points from the indictment against her in the course of the trial. On 17 December the judge acquitted her when the prosecution dropped the remainder of the charge against her. Shortly after, outside the court, her solicitor read out a statement where she thanked her legal team.

On 23 December her husband was convicted of perjury, and on 26 January he was sentenced to three years in prison. On both occasions she made a statement outside the court saying that she was standing by him.

For a time Solidarity were considering standing her as a candidate at the Wikipedia:Scottish Parliament election, 2011 as their no. 1 candidate in the Glasgow region, but they have announced that she does not intend to stand. She may stand for Glasgow City Council in the Craigton ward in a by-election which some consider may happen soon, or in the May 2012 council elections.
