There are at least two anarchistic schools of thought on the issue of issues we don't personally care about. One is, we should care about them anyway, the other is we should grab the lols with both hands

A third, that balances the perspective that directs our efforts to what we personally find most important, with an ethical approach to the feelings of others is, we don't have to not find an issue humorous, to respect the rights of others (to some extent) to support it. To attempt to not laugh is politeness; to require no grins is political correctness.
