A police officer (also known as a policeman or policewoman, and constable are public servants that serve the public and are paid by the citizens' tax dollars. Police officers are generally charged with the apprehension of suspects and the prevention and detection of crime, and the maintenance of public order. and have the power to arrest people and for a limited time until being taken to a judge, along with other duties and powers.
