Baghdad Brigade is a US-backed Sunni militia. US government pays the members and provides them with uniforms and vehicles. Baghdad Brigade is responsible for fighting al-Qaeda and dismantling road bombs, but can do whatever else it wishes. This group is a part of The Awakening.
