So-called 'schools' typically coerce minors, under threat of being held back, to learn knowledge that is useless and trivial, knowledge that may be called 'junk knowledge'.
The largest single type of junk knowledge consists of the plots of fiction books. Other common types of junk knowledge include poetry, biographical knowledge, and trivial details about history.
