Hospitality exchange is social networking that allows people to find a place to stay or simply meet travellers or local people.
- Hospitality Club (HC): is the biggest network, but there are issues of censorship and basically one person is in control.
- BeWelcome (BW): is a new hospitality exchange network, based on an OSS project, democratically controlled by NGO BeVolunteer, and started by ex unsatisified HC volunteers.
- CouchSurfing (CS): is also big, and its policies are somewhat more open and democratic. Managed by a non-profit organization.
- Servas is an offline hospitality exchange network, more than 50 years old, and somewhat inconvenient for today's youth, but apparently it is completely democratic (including elections).
- Pasporta Servo (http://www.pasportaservo.org/): Esperantist hospitality network
