Comrade denotes a person whose political beliefs are similar to one's own, or more broadly, a person who shares political needs with the speaker. It is a symbol of mutual respect and trust within the radical community.

USSR[edit]

In Soviet Union the term was hijacked and basterdised to mean a member of the Communist Party of Soviet Union such as Comrade Stalin.
