Wesphal's dad, [[Steven Holloway|Steve Holloway]] sent a recording of "[[Passing Us By]]" to Dempsey's dad, [[Edwin Dutkiewicz, Jr.|Ed Dutkiewicz]], which Dempsey listened to and immediately liked it.
