Wires on Fire- Los Angeles based Punk-Rock band. Members include Evan Weiss on guitars and vocals, younger brother Darren Weiss on drums, Michael Shuman on the bass guitar, and lead guitarist Jeff Lynn.

The group was founded by Evan Weiss and Michael Shuman, under the name The Fallen, during their early years of High School in Los Angeles. The first line-up included Evan, Michael, original lead guitarist Blake Collins, and drummer Dash Hutton.

After playing three or four show, they went into the studio to record a 4-song demo tape. It was recorded in 11 hours and was self-released.

Before being signed, the band played several high profile shows supporting acts such as Radio Vago, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and many more.

In their senior year of high school, Blake Collins left the band due to musical differences with the band. Jeff Lynn would replace him, performing live for the first time with the group at a benfit show.

It was during this time that the band signed with infamous L.A. record label Buddyhead Records (co-owned by Aaron North and Travis Keller), home of SHAT, The Icarus Line, Radio Vago, and Your Enemies Friends. It was also around this time they changed their name from The Fallen to Wires on Fire.

In 2002 the boys entered the studio to record their 6 song debut EP entitled "Homewrecker". It was released the following year. Songs include: "Learn to Drown", "Consciously Unconcious", "Daisy", and "Hate that Breeds Love".

Just before a breif summer tour with friends the Mean Reds, founding drummer Dash Hutton abruptly quit the band. Reasons for his departure are assumed to be personal.

That summer tour saw the release of a split EP/DVD on Buddyhead records with the Mean Reds. Wires on Fire contributed two songs to the release: "Million Dollar Maybes", and a cover of Alice Cooper's "I'm Eighteen".

Wires on Fire has played the notable SXSW festival twice and a yearly Buddyhead CMJ showcase in New York.

They have toured with and/or supported: Death From Above 1979, Mean Reds, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Har Mar Superstar, Hella, The Advantage, Wives, 400 Blows, and a slew of others.

They are currently in the studio recording their debut album with Alain Johannes and Natasha Shnelder of Queens of the Stone Age/ Desert Sessions producing.
