Winter War

The Winter War was a subconflict of World War II from November 30, 1939 to March 13, 1940 that pitted Finland against the Soviet Union. Finland was a small country with a token military, but their stout resistance caused heavy Soviet casualties and prevented a complete Soviet annexation of Finland.
