[edit] screenname
[edit] screenname
On the internet, I do employ a variety of screennames.
They, typically, involve,
are derivative of,...:
"hopiakuta",
"kutahopia".
I've named my turtle
"HopiaKuta".
On paper, away from the internet, I am:
"DonFphrnqTaub Persina"
[capital: "DONFPHRNQTAUB PERSINA"].
That is nine characters,
versus twenty-one characters.
Screenname versus paper-name.
@ this specific moment, I am in
Riverside ["Reverseside"] County,
[Alta] California.
I do, stridently, advocate
homeless-access,
disability-access
[physical-disability;
emotional-disability;
cognitive-disability].
I do contend that the internet
could be much more
disability-accessible.
I do suspect that my
access perceptions are unique.
I do want wikipedia to develop
a disability-wiki.
The exact name should be
discussed
[Though not discussed-ing].
On such a wiki, we would
discuss:
how to improve wiki;
how to improve the internet;
how to improve society, Earth,....

while wikipedia seeks an Neutral Point of View (and seeks this neutrality on the extabished, and somewhat unneutral, mainstream). In anarchopedia, we seek (an somewhat undefined) Anarchistic Point of View. That is, we don't have to give room for the way of thinking of, say, a captalist. for better and for worse, this narrowa our sight. For better, because, agreeing with some premisses (such as captalism is BAD =) ) we can focus on the issues of the anarchistic movement (do we need leadership ? how do we maintain non-power-based relations in a power based society ?) And for worse, because we miss the angles we "cast out", whose critisism might strenghen us.
Hope this is what you asked
(if you can read a bit of french, I'd recommend you the french version of anarchopedia)
kisses
by the way ...
"wiki" is not the usual way to refer to wikipedia. It is often used to refer to online enciclopedias that use the same software as wikipedia

It does appear that this "cold_light", "cold light", "Cold_Light", person had placed these comments here|there in the past several days. It appears that this person did not realize that much of what is on this page had, actually, been copied from various other pages, as a consolidation. If a primary page is empty, then posting such a comment there does not disrupt much of an edit-flow, unless the person, the screenname[s'] owner[s] had simply wanted a blank page [although, that does not seem to be nearly as important as the alternative].
The historylog seems so convoluted that I'm having difficulty deciphering.
It does appear that cold light had not realized that the discussion had gone far past this point already. If cl had posted this discussion comment on the bottom of the discussion page, then cl, likely, would've seen how far the discussion had gotten. It does appear that cl has made several typographical errors. Well, I do make my own, as well.
I do, generally, avoid deleting anyone, particularly where I perceive some good in the intention, as in this case. As a matter of fact, often, even if I don't.
Please do place these sorts of comments @ the bottom of discussion pages.
Thank You.
I do support these pages | this page [Is this the same cl that had begun them??]:

[edit] Please, someone, do, concisely differentiate
this website from wiki.
Also, how do you handle requests regarding policy changes??
Wiki has thousands, millions, of excellent articles.
I, sometimes, feel as if I've learned more there than I had in various schools [that's 'sixties, 'seventies, somewhat 'eighties].
However, since I'm not in the clique, much of what I do is deleted, paricularly where I wiki-complain.
So, their knowledgebase can't grow as quickly as it might.
&, how did you get permission f/ the wikisoftware??
Hopiakuta 05:05, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- Hello Hopiakuta, I will try to answer:
- Anarchopedia does not have a detailed policy like Wikipedia, this is one of the main point about being anarchist; you can define broad principles but a detailed policy would require some kind of central enforcement.
- Wikipedia has many more articles, but also many more active users. English Anarchopedia is not much right now (usually it has around 1-3 active users), but I think German Anarchopedia has been progressing very well.
- Mediawiki is free software, so anybody can use it to create a website.
- Welcome to Anarchopedia, by the way. ~Rev 22 13:23, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank You.
Does that mean that if I create a page, no more "speed - delete"?
Does that mean that if I write a new page,
or add to other persons', prior to deletion:
negotiation??
If I complain, is there discussion, or vengeance?
Is there a way to migrate pages to here, other than copy|paste? [wikipedia pages?]
Thank You.
Hopiakuta 16:15, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well, in general only spam or complete nonsense gets deleted. Every registered user is a sysop in Anarchopedia (immediately or three days after first edit), so everybody can delete or undelete pages.
- My personal convintion is that "power tripping" is the origin of most of the vengeances and the mobbing seen in Wikipedia. This happens because Wikipedia adopts a hierarchical social model, with separate classes of users (banned users, registered users, admins, arbitrators...), basically people who claim power over other people.
- It is possible to automate the import of pages from Wikipedia, but at the moment copy and paste seems the only way. You can read or modify the related proposal at Anarchopedia:Wikipedia datadump.
- See you, ~Rev 22 21:26, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Uh, oh,...
I'm attempting to decide which emotion to have,...
The phrase "spam or complete nonsense",... ahem,...
If you check my record there:
I post;
often within three minutes, someone accuses me of "spam", or "nonsense", or an "attack", or some synonym;...
delete, delete;...
This process can occur without my participation, or knowledge:
I eat; use other websites; watch television; run errands; sleep;...
So, no appeal, no defense,... nothing.
Now, in case you haven't noticed, my brain's different: so, I format sentences differently. I am different.
Now, if people could negotiate, & try to be positive; well, I could scribe about thousands of my perspectives, such as:
disability-access;
disability-culture;
emotional-disability;
cognitive-disability;
physical-disability;
transit;
racism;
economy;
politic;
turtles;
other pets;
my internet experiences;...
I do need a website that wants this dialogue.
Is this it??
Thank You.

While I was writing that, cbs ran a story about:
< http://pigeonblog.mapyourcity.net/blurb.php >;
< http://pigeonblog.mapyourcity.net >;
< http://pigeonblog.mapyourcity.net/blurb.php >:
"PigeonBlog provides an alternative way to participate environmental air pollution data gathering. The project equips urban homing pigeons with GPS enabled electronic air pollution sensing devices capable of sending real-time location based air pollution and image data to an online mapping/blogging environment. Pigeonblog is a social public experiment between human and non-human animals.
"PigeonBlog will be launched at ISEA 2006 in San Jose."
&, they wear "tiny backpacks", according to Mr. Bob Schieffer, cbs.
Hopiakuta 23:15, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Hey, I am not sure what is it that you mean exactly, but I guess it is ok. By spam I referred to commercial spam, advertisement or repeated linking to commercial sites. These are unwanted because Anarchism is anti-capitalist. Capitalism is incompatible with social justice. You can use your preferred way to express yourself. When something has a meaning to someone, it is not a non-sense, or at least this is how I see it. ~Rev 22 23:50, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank You.
Possibly, I'll scribe articles on those issues. I do hope to do so soon. Even, including the "tiny backpack" pigeons. If I do that one, I would likely cross-reference such issues as: pollution; global-warming;...
When I had registered, I had created various userpages, w/ variations of my screenname. I, now, realize that it would be preferable to merge & redirect. If you have guidance pages on that, someone, please do say.
Thank You.
Hopiakuta 00:32, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
It's simple. To redirect them, you have to replace the content of your pages with:
#redirect [[User:Hopiakuta]]
(or [[User talk:Hopiakuta]], if you prefer). ~Rev 22 01:26, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank You.
It does seem that some functions are the same as wikipedia. It does seem that others are, to varying degrees, different.
I've read much on wikipedia regarding "merge"; but, I've never attempted it. I do want to learn that, amongst other issues.
Thank You.

Somewhere around 17:20-17:30 UTC, Cogent readvertised routing to our primary IP address block in Tampa, blocking access to the site for most people.
Partway through the period, wikis were placed into read-only lock so the few people who could access it (mostly from AOL ;) were unable to edit without review from the public.
The route was temporarily restored around 19:55, and read-write was restored to the wikis at 19:59.
The old IP range will no longer be available to us as of Monday.
PowerMedium has assigned us a new IP space which is under their control (unlike the old IPs which were leased from Cogent under an older contract), and we will be transitioning to them over the weekend.
We have heard several conflicting things about exactly why and how our IP space
got dropped; more will be said when we have firmer knowledge.
