Among the techniques used to torture Suleiman was the increasingly ill-named "Palestinian hanging"Strappado torture technique.

The first prison Suleiman was sent to, human rights investigator Clara Gutteridge believes to be the "Dark Prison"; he endured its near-total darkness, 24 hours per day auditory overstimulation, deprivation of access to legal representation, and other abuse, before being taken to a prison called the "Salt Pit", which Gutteridge succinctly calls "not much better".[2]

Abdallah was released from Parwan Detention Facility aka Bagram Theater internment facility aka PDF at Bagram Airfield aka Bagram Air Base aka Bagram Air Force Base in 2008 with only a one page document stating his innocence.[1][2]
