Red Hot Chili Peppers/Right on Time

"Right on Time" is a song by Red Hot Chili Peppers from their 7th album, Californication.

The song is the shortest on the album. Each verse is focused on the fast rap rock sound of the bands early days, while the chorus slows down and focuses on the melodic feel of Californication. The song is also notable for being damn good.

The song has become a staple of the bands live show, before the song is played live it features a tease of another popular song by another band. Versions include "London Calling" by The Clash, "Sir Duke" by Stevie Wonder, and "Transmission" by Joy Division.

If you are to backmask the song, at the end where you could originally hear John Frusciante mumble something that sounds like "sidene", it is very clear that he says "You need this. You need this. You need this. Okay." However it could also be argued that he is saying "We need this, we need this, we need this. okay"
