Mathias Holzner
Mathias Holzner (b. 1983) is a young professional drummer living and working in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
He has studied with Gerwin Eisenhauer at the Music College Regensburg and graduated top of his class in 2001. The same year he moved to Amsterdam to studies at the renomated Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Here he followed lessons with teachers such as Cyril Directie, Lucas van Merwijk, Marcel Serierse, Victor Oskam and Martijn Vink.
In 2006 he successfully graduated Bachelor of Music.
In 2006 Mathias joined Lucas van Merwijk’s Drums United, a Percussion show touring Holland. Here under the synonym Colin Spectre, working on Laptops and Live-electronics as well as Drums.
Mathias Holzner has worked with artists such as Ninthe, Gordon, Tobias Regner, Drums United, Alias Grey to only mention a few. Performances in venues including Paradiso, Melkweg, Zebra Lounge, Rain, Nighttown, TV as well as Radio performances and countless theaters all over Europe.
Apart from his musical activities, Mathias is writing articles, CD reviews etc. for magazines such as Raveline
