MDMAfilms is an Wikipedia:Independent film Wikipedia:production company founded in 2010 by American authors Wikipedia:Tao Lin and Wikipedia:Megan Boyle, who write, direct, and act in all the films and documentaries. Taking an extreme approach to Wikipedia:Mumblecore film movement sensibilities, the duo uses only Wikipedia:MacBook cameras to film. At a screening covered by Wikipedia:Thought Catalog[1], when asked if they were intentionally attempting to build upon the Wikipedia:Mumblecore legacy, Lin and Boyle replied, "We’re not, consciously ... We didn't think about precedents. [We're] just doing what we feel like."
Novelist Wikipedia:Justin D. Taylor called the films "feel-good voyeurism" [2] in Wikipedia:L Magazine.
The company has attracted attention from Wikipedia:Hipster Runoff[3] for their upcoming feature-length documentary about Wikipedia:Bebe Zeva.
