Laurel Holloman (born 1971 May 23 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina) is an American actress, currently best known for her roles as Justine on Angel and Tina on the Showtime series The L Word.

Career[edit]

Holloman made her film debut as one of the eponymous teenagers in Maria Maggenti's The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love (1995). She subsequently found leading and supporting roles in films such as The Myth of Fingerprints and Boogie Nights (both in 1997).

She has studied acting with the Piven Theatre Workshop and The British American Dramatic Academy in London.[unverified]

Personal life[edit]

She has been married to Paul Macherey since 2002; they have a daughter, Lola, who was born 4. November, 2004.[unverified] Because Holloman was pregnant during the filming of The L Word's second season, scripts were adapted to make her character pregnant as well. Her infant daughter can be seen on The L Word's espisode 3.01 "Labia Majora". The group sings "Hello to Lola, so glad to see you" while at a daycare. Holloman has repeatedly declared being bisexual[1][2]. This makes her the second openly bisexual actress in the The L Word ensemble cast.
