- 11.: During the general strike in Athens (Greece) police attacked protesters with the plastic-manteled grip of their batons and thrown tear gas and stun grenades directly into the crowd. At least 12 people got injured, one of them, Yiannis Kafkas got hospitalized in pre-mortem condition, he still is in coma, while in stabil condition. Later the same day police chased a crowd of people through a side street in Exarcheia, while a person tries to help another person who is being attacked by the police, the riot police breaks his leg. The defended person gets away with bruises.
