Dee Brown

Dee Brown (died 2002 December 12 age 94, Little Rock, Arkansas) was an author of the 1971 bestseller Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee and respected historian of the American West. Brown wrote 29 books in his long career but his classic account of Manifest Destiny from the American Indianʼs point‐of-view, gleaned from the records of treaty meetings, massacres and tribal histories, was the hallmark.
