Chika Sylva-Olejeme

Chika Sylva-Olejeme (born Chikantukogu Udogu Okonkwo Olejeme [October 22]) is proponent of Post Philosophy, founder of International Peace Institute, a diplomat and peace advocate.


Early life[edit]

Born to Sylvanus and Rosaline Olejeme and into the Olejeme (Nwa-obute) Amaechi, Ancient Royal Family of Amaimo, in Umuhu Okabia, Imo, Nigeria, during the Nigerian Civil War


Education[edit]

Sylva-Olejeme attended Surulere Baptist School Lagos, Government Secondary School Owerri and the University of Ibadan


Diplomat[edit]

Sylva-Olejeme is engaged in Track II diplomacy He founded the International Peace Institute (IPI) in 1994; organised the UNESCO culture of peace flagship event for the United Nations system in Nigeria, 2000, initiated the International Creed for Peace in 2005, the Peace Conservation System and the Universal Peace Protocol in 2006.

Sylva-Olejeme and International Peace Institute maintains institutional linkages with the Governments and inter-Governments structures for past and present Peace projects


Ambassador for Peace[edit]

Sylva-Olejeme was appointed an Ambassador for Peace in 2006 by The Universal Peace Federation (UPF) formally (Interreligious & International Federation for World Peace) and British Clergy Leadership Conference, [1]

Projects[edit]

He has initiated projects in and outside Nigeria including

Peace Walk Abuja, Carnival for Women, Nigerian –European Co-operation for Peace, Nigerian –British Co-operation for Peace, African-European Festival for Peace, National Walk for Peace Love and Unity, Dance of the Mask Billionaires in Solidarity London Meeting 2006.
