Axiology is the philosophical study of value, in particular ethics and aesthetics. Ethics investigates the concepts of "right" and "good" in individual and social conduct. Aesthetics studies the concepts of "beauty" and "harmony."
While other core issues in ethics are the subject of ethical consideration, only the practices of Axiology are; its method is not a subject, but a means by which ethical considerations are made.
Value and Meta-Ethics are other names for Axiology.
