Astronomy is a science involving the observation and explanation of events occurring outside Earth and its atmosphere. It includes the study of the origin, evolution, and physical and chemical properties of objects that can be observed in the sky, space, and in the whole universe.
WP note: Wikipedia:Category:Natural sciences deleted. Physical sciences is already a subcat of Natural Sciences, thus the appearance of Astronomy in Natural sciences implies it is not a Physical science
Dunno why they deleted Natural Sciences. It is old school, no doubt about it, but a useful designation in any case; instantly places sciences in a rough binary timeline.
