Azerbaijan is a nation in the Caucasus. It border Armenia to the west, Georgia to the northwest, Iran to the south, and Russia to the north. It is a former member of the Soviet Union
Azerbaijan is the 21st largest country, by oil reserves and coincidentally also 21st by oil production. It is next to Iran, and a key stop for US troops on the way to Afghanistan.
