Anarchopedia talk:GNU Free Documentation License resources

Rev, did you talk with people from Infoshop? An Anarchist FAQ is under GNU FDL and GNU GPL. Maybe they do not have problems with GFDL...? --Millosh 19:10, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

No, I do not know much about Infoshop. An Anarchist FAQ is under GFDL [1], but nowhere else at their site or wiki I have encountered a copyright or copyleft notice so far. This is kind of odd since I have read articles which appear to be copies of ones at Wikipedia, yet they have none of the notices required by the GFDL.

This is the warning I get when trying to edit articles on OpenWiki

Please note that all contributions to OpenWiki may be edited, altered, or removed by other contributors. If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly, then don't submit it here. You are also promising us that you wrote this yourself, or copied it from a public domain or similar free resource (see Project:Copyrights for details). DO NOT SUBMIT COPYRIGHTED WORK WITHOUT PERMISSION!

"Project:Copyright" is a dead link.

I can guarantee that people from Infoshop will not use legal system against Anarchopedia ;) However, I asked Chuck (or whoever is a "WikiSysop" there) for permissions. --Millosh 02:32, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

We have permissions to use Infoshop OpenWiki content under GFDL. Template similar to the template for Wikipedia content would be good enough. --Millosh 05:10, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

Rev, it seems that I saw Chuck's message after you :) --Millosh 05:14, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
No problem. Open Wiki still seems to be somewhat copyright-agnostic (which is probably not bad, it is just a different approach), but I have to compliment you for the successful negotiation. ;) ~Rev 22 17:43, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
