Alexis KasperaviÄius
Alexis KasperaviÄius (aka Alex Kasper or Alex Kasperavicius) is a well known security consultant and trainer in the computer and legal security field as well as a multimedia producer.

Alexis was born on Wikipedia:April 14, Wikipedia:1968 in Wikipedia:Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Los Angeles, California. Growing up in the Wikipedia:Los Feliz district, Alexis was a technology enthusiast from early on, primarily interested in the telephone system, absorbing anything available on how the systems worked and eventually developed a good working knowledge of the entire system.
In the 1980's Alexis met Lewis DePayne, Wikipedia:Kevin Mitnick, Dave Harrison, Lenny Dicicco, Terry Hardy and others. Discovering their mutual interest in telephones and computers, the group became fast friends and over the 1980’s and 1990’s all worked together on discovering various aspects of the telephone system during deregulation and the emerging Internet.
This loose group of hackers is sometimes referred to "The Roscoe Gang" and is noted for having two of its members (Kevin Mitnick and Lewis DePayne) aggressively prosecuted by the U.S. Federal Government for what would today be considered minor infractions.
Alexis currently teaches on a variety of topics relating to Social Engineering and co-authored the Certified Social Engineering Prevention Specialist (Wikipedia:CSEPS) workshop and certification along with Mitnick who jokingly refers to him as “my un-indicted co-conspirator.â€
He currently lives in Los Angeles, California.

- Co-hosted The Dark Side of the Internet on Wikipedia:KFI (AM) with Kevin Mitnick (2001).
- Co-founded Wikipedia:Defensive Thinking (now Wikipedia:Mitnick Security Consulting) with Mitnick (2003).
