The Scare is a Hardcore Punk Rock band from Washington, D.C.. , consisting of past and current members of Affront, Good Clean Fun, The Goons, and At Best. Begun in 2004, the Scare are aesthetically influenced by Horror Movies, Macabre fiction, and generally dark art.

They've recorded songs for their E.P., Snakes Among Saints, and an untitled 7" at Black House Studios (owned and operated by Issa Diao of Good Clean Fun, and Ken Olden, of Battery, Better Than a Thousand, Damnation A.D., and When Tigers Fight), during the summer of 2005, with Kenny McClure.

They are signed to Lawnchair Records, a Sweden-based record label.
