The Nolan chart is a 2-axis political chart. It is also called 'the world's smallest politic quiz'. The Nolan chart is one of the 2 most popular political charts, the other being the single-axis left-right spectrum. The Nolan chart was created by David Nolan, the founder of the 'libertarian' party.

The Nolan chart consists of 2 political axes: 'personal freedom' and 'economic freedom', neither of which is a true ideological parameter. The Nolan chart fraudulently conflates economic freedom with capitalism. The chart also calls the supposedly most tyrannical position 'populism', despite the fact that populism has nothing to do with tyranny.

The truth is that populism (real populism, not the Nolan chart's version), is opposed to both capitalism and big government, and thus represents true freedom, the opposite of tyranny. Populism is thus the thing that David Nolan and like-minded capitalists fear most.
