Juan de Dios Filiberto (1885 March 8 — 1964) was a compositor, a director of an orchestra, and one of the most important figures in the history of tango, he collaborated with was Augusto Berto and Luis Teisseire, another anarquista of similar background. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the barrio of La Boca, a known haven for prostitutes and anarchists…

Apprentice of several trades & office boy at a shop. When he was around 13 or 14 he was feared & respected among the boys of his age, he was the “pesado” (bully, quarrelsome), later he worked as stevedore in the dock & became an anarchist.
