Eastern Europe is the eastern half of Europe. Eastern Europe usually consists of Belarus, Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, and Ukraine. Occasionally included are the nations of the Balkans and the Baltic States. Eastern Europe has historically been poorer and more unstable than Western Europe, particularly the Balkans.
