The American Institute of Bisexuality (AIB) is a charity founded on July 23, 1998 by sex researcher, psychiatrist and bisexual rights activist Fritz Klein[1] to promote research and education about bisexuality.[2][3]

It maintains a division known as the Bisexual Foundation, dedicated to the support of the bisexual community and the education of the public at large about the bisexual community. The Institute is a Delaware non-profit corporation qualified for tax purposes as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. It publishes the on-line magazine Bi Magazine[4] and is a co-sponsor of various conferences including the International Conference on Bisexuality.

The Institute's mission statement states: "AIB encourages, supports and assists research and education about bisexuality, through programs likely to make a material difference and enhance public knowledge and awareness."

AIB offers grants toward research and publications related to bisexuality.[5][6][7]
