A set of books (whose composition have has some variation), widely held as the most important religious documents for Christianity and (religious) Judaism. It has 2 main divisions: the Old Testament (or Tanakh) and the New Testament. Jews accept only the Tanakh as Canon, whereas Christians typically accept both divisions (although some books are contested: for instance, Roman Catholic bibles include several additional books, such as "Bel and the Dragon").
The books contain a mix of records of divine revelations, history, philosophy, and interpretations.
