ACT is also a standardized test; originally an abbreviation for American College Testing but in 1996 the company officially shortened the name to only the abbreviation "ACT". Scores range from 1-36, with 36 being the highest possible score. The test includes a reading section, a science section, a math section, and an english section. Recently, ACT has also offered a writing section.
